Health Care Facility Accessibility

Meeting the Challenge has extensive experience in evaluating and improving health care facility accessibility. Physical barriers in health care facilities are identified through a proprietary checklist survey process. MTC then provides proposed solutions, costs, and priorities for modifications that will remove existing barriers.

Kaiser Permanente Facility Assessment
MTC completed a comprehensive facility accessibility assessment in 2006 of over 2 million square feet of medical, administrative, and support space operated by Kaiser Permanente in the Denver metropolitan area. Our survey identified accessibility issues in each facility and proposed specific solutions, costs, and priorities for accomplishing those modifications. MTC continues to be involved in this project, supporting Kaiser and their architectural partners in planning and making required modifications. Kaiser has made a corporate commitment to make all modifications recommended by MTC in its 2006 report.
