MTC's Past Products
Over the years, MTC has introduced and marketed several products that resulted from our R&D efforts. Each achieved a measure of success but was eventually withdrawn from the market.
- AbleAide - AbleAide provide offices of disabled student services at colleges and universities with an enterprise management tool. The system tracked all students in the office system as well as all assistive technology and assistive support required for each student. The system also provided a means to match students with appropriate technology or methods depending on the student's needs and the course requirements. Over 250 colleges and universities in the US and Canada used the system.
- PocketCoach - PocketCoach is a handheld electronic device that functions as a job coach for individuals with developmental disabilities. The human job coach recorded work activities into the device and the user played them back using a very simple interface. The device could be set up to function with either sequential on non-sequential tasks. AbleLink Technologies markets a follow-on product.
- MoneyCoach - MoneyCoach was boxed software that performed functions similar to Quicken but for use by individuals with developmental disabilities. The system allowed numerous individuals to manage their own money and provided transition teachers with a tool to teach their students with developmental disabilities about money. AbleLink Technologies continues to market this product.
