About ZoomCaps
MTC has been involved in assistive technology for blindness and low vision since it's inception. Randy Dipner, a co-founder of the company, developed a software-based capability to produce Braille using a standard daisy-wheel printer, which received national recognition in 1981.
ZoomCaps were developed in 1991. In 1992 they were included in the Don Johnson catalog and have been available to the general public ever since.
MTC has sought to continuously improve the quality of ZoomCaps over the years.
Most recently, we completely redesigned the product using the APHont™ A Font for Low Vision.
APHont Features:
- More even spacing between letters.
- Higher crossbars.
- No serifs.
- Wider letters.
- Heavier letters.
- Underslung "j" and "q".
- Letters more open.
- Larger punctuation marks.
