Company Description

Meeting the Challenge, Inc. (MTC) is a knowledge engineering and knowledge management consulting firm located in Colorado Springs, CO. The firm is focused on developing internet-based technologies and processes for government agencies and the commercial sector. Our knowledge engineering and e-commerce practices utilize state-of-the-art tools to deliver order of magnitude productivity enhancements to our clients.

• We develop and operate systems to gather, transform, store, and disseminate information.
• We develop and operate systems to evaluate the outcomes of that dissemination.
• We leverage existing and in-house developed IT tools to deliver these knowledge management solutions.
• Our goal is to produce dramatic increases in mission performance for our clients through improvement and re-engineering of business processes

Company History

• 1989 - MTC was founded to develop hardware and software systems that improve the quality life for individuals with disabilities.
• 1991 - MTC received funding from the U.S. Department of Education, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) to become an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Technical Assistance Center for the Rocky Mountain region (Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming).
• 1997 - In 1997 the company underwent a fundamental change when it decided to drop most of it's product line and focus on using our knowledge and expertise of ADA technical assistance to become more profitable.
• 1998 - MTC formed a partnership with the e-commerce solutions company ServiceSoft Technologies, Inc to create the ADA Knowledge Management System (ADA KMS) to support the regional DBTAC's.
• 2000 - Currently MTC is looking to expand its services by developing knowledge management systems with ServiceSoft on a sub-contractual basis.
